- 480g pineapple
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- Cloves to taste
How to prepare
- Peel and slice the pineapple.
- Put the honey in a non-stick frying pan and add the pineapple slices and cloves. Cook over a low heat until the pineapple begins to caramelise.
- Sprinkle the caramelised pineapple slices with cinnamon powder and serve.
Tip: Use caramelised pineapple in desserts, as a topping for various preparations (e.g. yoghurt, pancakes) or as an accompaniment to savoury dishes (e.g. meat roasts).
