Christmas is on its way, and with it come dinners with family, friends, and colleagues. At a time of greater excess, take advantage of this festive season to awaken your creativity in the kitchen and create healthier and more sustainable options to offer.
Ingredients for granola
- 2 oat flakes
- 1 cup of mixed nuts (e.g. sliced almonds, chopped walnuts and hazelnuts)
- 1 tablespoon of mixed seeds (sunflower or chia seeds)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil or coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- Water as needed
How to prepare granola
- Preheat the oven to 180º.
- Mix the oat flakes with the dried fruit and seeds.
- Add the olive oil (or coconut oil) and honey and mix all the ingredients together well.
- Spread the mixture on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Stir several times to prevent the dried fruit from burning.
- If necessary, sprinkle with a few drops of water.
- Once the granola is toasted, remove from the oven and leave to cool.
How to prepare the bottle
- Store the granola in an airtight jar to keep it crispy.
- Use recyclable or reusable materials to decorate the jar, such as recycled paper, natural fibre paper or leftover wrapping paper.
- Print our card with the QR code for easy access to the recipe and attach it to the jar using pine branches, string or leftover fabric.
