Caramelised pineapple with honey and cinnamon

Ingredients for 6 portions

  • 480g pineapple
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Cloves to taste

How to prepare

  1. Peel and slice the pineapple.
  2. Put the honey in a non-stick frying pan and add the pineapple slices and cloves. Cook over a low heat until the pineapple begins to caramelise.
  3. Sprinkle the caramelised pineapple slices with cinnamon powder and serve.

Tip: Use caramelised pineapple in desserts, as a topping for various preparations (e.g. yoghurt, pancakes) or as an accompaniment to savoury dishes (e.g. meat roasts).
